Message : I get home from work tonight at about 1145 pm and it is a beautiful night. The temperature is about 25 ( 70-75 for my American brothers and sisters) and so I decide to take my 300 out for a drive.

As I am driving down a main area for bars/night clubs I see a Black 911 Turbo parked along the side of the street with its lights on and it running but with no driver. So I go around the block and as I pull back around the driver and passenger enter the vehicle. I follow in behind them and I follow them for a couple of blocks before we stop at a light. He is the second car back and I pull around him in the slow lane and I wait for the light to go green. Once it does I slowly pull away but I pull away quicker than the car that is in front of the 911. As a result the 911 pulls around the car that is in front of him and he is now behind me. Once there I pin it and take off and he follows in behind me. I slow down and he pulls up beside me at the next light.

He says to me that we should line these cars up and I agree with him saying that , that sounds like a good idea. We decide on a place and he follows me there.

We set up in area that is well lit and where there will be no traffic for us to contend with. We agree on how far ( landmark wise we will go to) and he set up. We have to turn on the "race " road from a collector road.

As I mentioned before he had a passenger so I said he will say go. We turned onto the road and it was going to be a rolling start. We were going at about 15 to 20 km/hr when we both hit it.

1st gear we were even.
2nd gear he pulled about 2 to 3 car lengths on me
3rd gear I started to catch up to him.
4th gear I shifted into 4th before he did and I caught him and I passed him and I reached the landmark maybe about 1/2 to 3/4 of a car length before he did.

Man that was the closest race I had yet with my car. We waived to each other good-bye and he continued on his way and I returned home. I now know how fast those 911s are. The AWD is nice they hook up well.

I was boosting at 1.6 bar and was running without NOS.
